2010 OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES

 

1.     The Ice Fishing is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. on the West end of Lake Sarah. Contestants are discouraged inside fishing area prior to 9:00 a.m.

 

2.     If ice conditions are not acceptable at the time of the contest an alternate date will be determined and posted at www.dashiver.com

 

3.     Tickets will be available for $35.00 at the Delano Area Sports Arena, All Season Sports, Tiger Hockey Web Site and DA Shiver www.dashiver.com Tickets may be purchased on the day of the contest for $40.00. Register early to save $5.00.

 

4.     A random drawing for door prizes will be done throughout the contest.

 

5.     Each person will be allowed to fish one hole per ticket, two holes maximum. You may register as many fish as you want, but only the heaviest fish per contestant will be qualified for a competition prize. No contestant will be eligible for more than one competition prize. There is no age requirement on tournament participation.

 

6.     Contestants must be in plain view from all sides at all times. No shelters of ANY KIND will be allowed.

 

7.     Prizes given will be determined during the ice fishing tournament.

 

8.     All fish entered must be brought to the weigh in station immediately, one at a time and be alive (Grouping of fish WILL NOT be allowed at weigh in). Please bring a bag or bucket as the tournament is a live release. Dead or frozen fish are ineligible.

 

9.     Tournament officials shall have the right to verify that fish were legally caught. Fishermen are responsible for verification of weight of fish at time of weigh in.

 

10.  Team fishing is not permitted.

 

11.  Fishermen must fish in the area designated for the ice fishing tournament and will be required to have their tickets available at all times. Ticket checks as well as container inspections will be required.

 

12.  No refunds will be given for any reason.

 

13.  Fishermen are responsible for their own safety and actions at all times.

 

14.  All laws of the State of Minnesota will be abided by.

 

15.  No motorized vehicles are allowed in the ice fishing area other than the contest official, if any at all. There will be no on ice parking for contestants.

 

16.  Fishermen are required to park in the areas provided. A shuttle service MAY be available. Walking is healthy and good for you!

 

17.  All holes will be pre-drilled. No lines are allowed in the water from 11:30 a.m. to the start of the ice fishing tournament.

 

18.  There will be a Leader Board that will be at the tournament official stand. All efforts will be made to keep the board up to date and accurate. Results will remain unofficial until verified by tournament officials.

 

19.  All contestants and others consent to the use of any names and photographs to be used for the promotion of future contests.

 

20.  Please support our efforts to protect the environment and ask that you remove garbage, including cigarette butts, from the ice when you leave. Waste container will be provided.
